Create a branch

All changes are version controlled in Text Models, and changes should be made in branches.

To create a branch, select the Branches pane or open it from the menu View > Branches. Select the button New Branch From 'master'.

Give the branch a descriptive name, e.g. Adding_new_risk_template. Use underscore for spaces. Select OK to create the branch.

After a status message confirms the creation, the new branch appears in the Branches view. The *-character indicates the currently active (checked-out) branch.

The checked-out branch is also displayed in the bottom bar of the Text Models window. The pen icon indicates the number of changes made in the selected branch (currently zero).
